Despite challenging economic times, Jeppe has been able to consistently maintain its high academic, sporting and discipline standards which has enabled the school to fulfil its ambition of “turning Black and White into Gold ”.
In recent times, Jeppe has experienced a resurgence in its fortunes and is recognised as a school very much “on the up” as evidenced by the rapidly improving academic and sporting results and discipline and behaviour of the students.
The continued drive towards excellence has been underpinned by a passionate and loyal Old Boy network which has financed various infrastructure upgrades to the school campus and has provided the finance, skills and experience to assist the dedicated staff within the school.
This special edition newsletter is
exclusively focused on the history-making matric results of the Class of 2021 that were released last week.
These results, the best in the history of the school, are detailed throughout this newsletter and are worthy of acknowledgement and celebration.
As we draw near to the end of a very busy Term 2 extramural programme, and the school turns its attention to the mid-year
exams, we thought it appropriate to issue another mini newsletter, this time focused on the cultural offerings at Jeppe High School for
Boys, an appropriate topic given our first ever annual Cultural Festival which concluded
yesterday evening.
Congratulations on all you have achieved; you have worked hard, and you have endured a great deal
to arrive at this moment. It is well deserved!!
You have managed school through a global pandemic and are now
the post covid leadership group; you have built resilience beyond what many people have at your age.
The return to the stage of a full
school production was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year so far. While we are, slowly but thankfully, getting to the point where we are running out of ‘first time since the pandemic’ experiences, this was certainly one to take grateful note of having been able to see again.
